What does financial management involve?
In the Cost Calculation module, you will learn all about cost price calculations and cost price components. You will learn about the types of costs incurred by a goods transport company and how to calculate them, such as insurance costs, interest, lease costs and taxes. By gaining insight into an organisation’s costs, you will know exactly what margin is needed and what rates you can charge.
After completing the module, you’ll be able to calculate fixed costs, determine the selling price, carry out a post-calculation and draw conclusions from revenue and costs.
What is assessed?
The exam covers various topics. Your knowledge and skills in cost price calculations will be tested. For example, you will be asked questions about:
- Cost calculations
- Cost price components
- Determining the selling price
- Staff costs
- Vehicle costs
- Labour costs
- Depreciation
All these topics are covered in detail during Nuvrachtwagen's cost calculation course. Thanks to the practical exercises, the exam questions will no longer be new to you. Choose the day that suits you best, attend the course at one of our locations in the morning, and take the exam at the CBR in the afternoon.
What does the financial management exam involve?
The cost calculation exam takes place at the CBR. You have 90 minutes to answer 20 multiple-choice exam questions, each with 5 answer options. You can score a total of 115 points. Have you scored 64 points or more? Then you have passed the exam! You will receive your result immediately afterwards. The exam consists of 4 sections:
- 11 multiple-choice questions on calculations relating to the vehicle
- 3 multiple-choice questions on calculating labour costs
- 3 multiple-choice questions about total costs
- 3 multiple-choice questions on various topics
At the start of the exam, you will receive a pen and paper and a digital calculator from the CBR. You can use these for the calculations. Bring your ID and exam registration with you.
