Transport Permit Course

Want to take a transport permit course? NuVrachtwagen is the place to do it. The transport permit course is for anyone who wants to become an independent owner-driver or transport entrepreneur and meet the statutory national and international requirements. If you want to start a business in professional road freight transport or work as an owner-driver or transport entrepreneur, you need a Euro licence.

The requirements for the transport permit

To obtain this permit, you must have professional competence. You can demonstrate this with the Certificate of Professional Competence for Entrepreneurs in Road Freight Transport. You can then use this certificate to apply for your permit from NIWO. Our transport permit course prepares you for the certificates required for both national and international professional road freight transport. Once you have completed our course, you can start working as a transport entrepreneur or an owner-driver straight away.

What you will learn during the course

During the transport permit course at Nuvrachtwagen, you will learn about various topics. For example, you will learn more about how road freight transport works. You will learn about the laws and regulations governing freight transport, the organisations involved in freight transport, the different types of transport and the requirements for vehicle specifications. You will also learn more about route planning, vehicle management, traffic rules and infrastructure.

All the required information is divided into 6 different exams:

Personnel Management

As an entrepreneur in the transport industry, you may want to hire staff eventually. This means that we’ll also teach you about staff and management, social legislation and organisational studies.

Business Management

We'll teach you more about the different types of business structures, help you choose the right one and show you how best to manage your business. You'll learn more about the different types of insurance for entrepreneurs and all the tasks involved in managing your own business.

Cost Calculation

You’ll learn how to make decisions about your business based on figures and reports. This will teach you key cost concepts and how to calculate cost prices.

Financial Management

As a business owner, you must keep your own records. That’s why we teach you everything about the exemptions, waivers, obligations and requirements you’ll have to deal with as a business owner. We’ll also teach you more about bookkeeping and the financing options available.
