V2C

The V2C theory exam is the second part of the truck theory course and is officially called: Theory Exam Part 2, Administration. This exam tests your knowledge of freight transport. If you want to obtain a C1 or C driving licence with Code 95, you must take and pass the V2C exam.

The V2C theory exam covers the following topics:

• Safety aspects;
• Environmental aspects;
• Relevant provisions of the Working Hours Act and the Working Hours Decree for Transport;
• Relevant provisions of transport legislation.

The exam consists of 65 questions and lasts a maximum of 75 minutes. The questions are a mix of multiple-choice, open-ended and true-or-false questions. You can expect a variety of questions, such as: “If a driver has driven 51 hours this week, what is the maximum number of hours they may drive next week?” You may also be asked: “What should a driver take into account when loading a truck?” You’ll also be given several possible answers to choose from.

The V3C theory exam supplements the V2C subject – Administration of Goods Transport and is part of the Code 95 basic qualification for professional drivers. What does the exam look like? You will be given 3 case studies, with 15 questions about them. The topics covered and the total number of questions remain the same.
